Artistry on Evans is a beautiful retreat house, ready for your unhosted group retreat. The house was built in 1894 and still retains the charm of days gone by! This retreat house is ideal for any crafter, whether quilters, scrapbookers, knitters or any other artists.

Artistry on Evans is the perfect place to retreat and inspire your creativity. The retreat house was built in 1894 and still retains the charm of days gone by. Built in the Queen Anne style, the house features open porches, ornamental trim, original light fixtures, a servant staircase, and many other decorative elements.
William and Sarah Stout were the first inhabitants of the property. Before the Civil War, the Stout family lived in a red Greek Revival structure, which is still standing behind the main house. In 1894, their son, Herbert, built a much larger home on the front of the property, and they began using the red structure as a carriage house. The home stayed in the Stout family until 1910, and has switched hands multiple times since then. Rick and Kim are the current owners, and they immediately knew that this charming home would be the perfect retreat for all kinds of artists. It is just waiting for you to make it your “home away from home!”
In addition, there are 12 twin beds throughout the six bedrooms, three full bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen and comfortable living and dining rooms. Artistry on Evans is located in the charming town of Tecumseh, Michigan, a few blocks from downtown. It is the perfect place to retreat with friends and foster your creativity.

Artistry On Evans will sleep up to 12 people in 6 bedrooms.
Three full bathrooms, one on the main floor and two on the second floor. All three bathrooms contain modern amenities with a charming, vintage feel. A claw foot tub, original to the home, can be found in a second floor bathroom. Hair dryers are available in all bathrooms.

Your art supplies: sewing machines, irons, rulers, rotary cutter, projects, knitting needles, paint brushes, yarn, fabric…whatever you need to create your art! Your food and drink ~ or you may want to try a number of Tecumseh's wonderful restaurants! And an overnight bag and your pillow! We provide a fully equipped kitchen, fresh sheets, comforters, towels, and hairdryers in each of 3 bathrooms.
No, they are not. You may bring in your own food and drink or use the book in the kitchen for many of the area restaurant's menus and flyers. The kitchen is fully equipped with an electric range, refrigerator with ice maker, a coffee pot, a Keurig, crockpot, microwave, hand mixer, blender, toaster, pots and pans, baking dishes, full set of dishes, glasses and silverware.
Yes, the house is fully air conditioned.
No. With a stay that meets the minimums (5 people, 2 nights) there will be no other groups at Artistry on Evans during your stay. Your group will have the entire home for your enjoyment.
